Ever Evolving Style | Denver Boudoir Photography

I’ve been working on my black and white editing style and it’s fascinating how much light effects a photograph.

(okay I just read that last part and I’m equal parts sighing at myself and exclaiming “well it is!”)

I’ve often taught that the pillars of Photoshop are light, color and details. At any stage of an edit you can call back to those pillars for inspiration. Yet when color is removed and you are forced to see the light values only, it becomes an interesting practice to give those shades of white, black and gray visual allure to replace what color does for an image. It is also fascinating that the most subtle of changes to the light on set can give you a broader palette to work with.

It also helps if the model has the most stunning eyes that I’ve ever seen.
