Take My Breath Away – Denver Boudoir Photography

Remember that scene in Top Gun when Kelly McGillis and Tom Cruise finally decide to give into the passion building between them? Remember those first notes of “Take My Breath Away” from Berlin? Perfect music as a foundation for an moment of passion, romance, sensuality and trust.

I knew that I wanted to be that – I wanted to have that passion and be that for another. I saw a world of trust and exploration of all the strong emotions and desires that I had.

However…

As I began to also encounter all the struggles of confidence and frustrations of teenage/young adult life, that part of my soul continued to recede behind excuses of “I don’t look good enough” or “no one will feel that way about me – I’m not that guy.”

My wife and I have been married for 14 years and a part of each other’s lives for much longer. We have found moments of pure trust, passion and love and for that I am grateful. Grateful that I found a way past my insecurities and fear, to let myself be loved for who I am and to love another.

I wonder though how many have not? How many have deep passion and sensuality in the hearts and have never found their “great love.” Never have had the chance to let that part of their soul fly and share it with another.

Perhaps that’s what my work as a Denver boudoir photography artist can provide to another. Whether it be just the single individual who wants to show for once what their passion, their story has been all along? Or the chance for a two souls to immortalize their love and passion, so as to be able to forever hold on to it.

What a wonderful and interesting road ahead at Legend.
